Sound

One of my passions is music and sound design. In addition to personal projects, I also apply this in practice. The most prominent example of this is my soundtracks for films.

JUODA (BLACK / DARK MATTER) dir. Aušra Lukošiūnienė

Documentary film “Black” presents the work of a charismatic personality of the Lithuanian art scene, the only Lithuanian architect-visionary V. Ozarinskas (Ozė) to a wider audience. This objective will be achieved by integrating the genres of artistic biography, science documentary, and science fiction, making use of nonchronological plot, paying special attention to visual solutions; sparse usage of verbality, and experimenting with sound.

ŠALTOS AUSYS (DEAD EARS) dir. Linas Mikuta

Two men, an aged farmer and his deaf-mute son, live in a remote area, isolated from civilization. Though sharing the same roof, problems, and sorrows they remain very distant from one another. Their attempts at conversation turn to misunderstanding if not conflict. Father thinks his son is abnormal and childish. Son sees his father as insensitive and crude. Can the two men find their way into understanding one another?

SEPIJA (SEPIA) dir. Aušra Lukošiūnienė

“Sepia” is a documentary capturing photographer Romualdas Urbonas’ creative journey through the Kaliningrad region. Director Aušra Lukošiūnienė and cinematographer Linas Karvelis accompanied the artist as he explored the former Königsberg, where fading history and contemporary brutality merge into a meditative visual experience. Here, sepia becomes more than just a photographic tone — it is a metaphor, a pigment of a vanished kingdom that endures despite the erosion of a crumbling empire. The film is a quiet, atmospheric reflection on art, memory, and the fragile human world set against the backdrop of a disappearing city.
